Security
Our approach
Chingdon holds financial ledgers, inventory records and payroll data for the businesses that run on it. We treat security as a foundational requirement of the platform, not an add-on feature.
Encryption
All data in transit between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Data at rest, including financial records and personal information, is encrypted using industry-standard encryption.
Access control
Within each workspace, access is role-based: a warehouse manager sees stock data, an accountant sees ledgers, and permissions are configured by the workspace administrator. Internally, our own staff access to customer data is limited to what is strictly necessary to provide support, and is logged.
Infrastructure
The platform runs on infrastructure with redundancy across availability zones, regular automated backups, and isolation between customer workspaces so that one business's data is never exposed to another.
Monitoring
We monitor for unusual access patterns and irregular activity across the platform, with automated alerts that allow our team to investigate and respond quickly.
Reporting an issue
If you believe you've found a security vulnerability affecting Chingdon, please report it through our contact page so our team can investigate promptly.
